How It's Cleaned

If Enagic® does not use harsh chemicals to clean the harvested turmeric, what do they use instead? Two specialty waters produced by Enagic's own ionizing machines. Strong Kangen Water® is a deeply alkaline water that lifts heavy oils, waxes, and farm residue off the root - the natural alternative to industrial degreasers. Strong Acidic Water is a hygienic rinse that sanitizes the surface without bleach or chlorine. The turmeric is cleansed using water alone, so nothing but pure root reaches the capsule.

Turmeric Manufacturing Process

Every step happens at the Kangen Foods Okinawa facility.

Turmeric is harvested by contracted farmers and delivered to the factory.

Super 501s are used for cleaning and sterilization. Peeling turmeric helps reduce soil bacteria.

Washing with strong acidic water through a low-pressure shower tunnel.

Rinse away dirt with high-pressure water.

Strong reduced water returns acidity to neutral, preserving flavor and quality.

Sliced turmeric passes through a conveyor and enters the dryer.

Dried turmeric chips are transported by air conveyor and powdered.

Coarsely powdered turmeric is put through a distiller to extract spring and autumn turmeric oil.

Autumn turmeric powder used to make Ukon tea is sterilized in a sterilizer.

Microbiological and physicochemical testing is performed in the Quality Control Department.

Turmeric powder passes inspection and is processed into Ukon tea.

Excellent product, after taking 10 Ukon pills daily for 6 months, my knees no longer hurt.

Love that the pills are easy to swallow, and the fact that it is organic is really important to me since tumeric is a root , having it grown in Okinawa, one of the world's blue ocean where pollution is limited probably has an effect on the quality of the product. I also noticed it helps with constipation, at least for me and my family. Overall, highly recommended!
